Cambodia Presents 2025 Hi View Platform, First AI-Generated Short Drama
(MENAFN) On Sunday, Cambodia introduced the 2025 Hi View platform alongside its first AI-generated short drama, marking a significant step toward integrating AI-Generated Content (AIGC) technology within the country’s digital cultural sector.
This milestone event was a collaborative effort between China’s Guangxi Yaoxiang Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. and Cambodia’s BKL Media Production Company.
Pok Borak, director of Cambodia’s Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts’ Department of Cinema and Cultural Promotion, emphasized that partnerships between Cambodian and Chinese companies are essential for accelerating growth in Cambodia’s digital cultural industry.
He noted, “The ministry fully supports the development of the Hi View platform and looks forward to Chinese partners building bases and cultivating AIGC digital cultural talents in Cambodia.”
Thien Narom, general manager of BKL Media Production Company, highlighted how the adoption of Chinese-backed AIGC technology will rapidly transform the creation of new film and television formats.
“Through the AIGC technology, stories will be converted into AI short dramas or short videos efficiently and easily to attract a wider audience,” she said. “We must seize this opportunity to promote Cambodia's beautiful culture to China and the world.”
Wang Jie, general manager of Guangxi Yaoxiang Cultural Communication, revealed that the Hi View platform already hosts thousands of short plays accessible online and that Cambodia’s inaugural AI short drama was produced entirely through AIGC technology.
He added that the Hi View platform allows film enthusiasts to stream short dramas anytime, covering diverse themes such as love, comedy, life, science fiction, travel, and culture, offered in multiple languages.
